Waking Bear for Arts Watch Olynpia
These have been crazy times for many and we’re all learning how to adjust to social distancing. Thanks to Deborah Vinsel and the other creative folks at Thurston County Media, Olympia’s annual Arts Walk has transformed into the virtual event, Art’s Watch. We’re grateful to be included in this event and to be sharing a new song, “One Foot In This World”

I wrote this song during the quarantine in response to losing both of my parents over the last year. It definitely relates to the huge grief so many of us are feeling right now. The song is a heart stretcher, but if you let yourself go there, it will take you into the deep heart and fill you with love. We hope this for all of us.

So in this video, you’ll see me, Ivy and Daniel (we’re all quarantining together) playing the song. You’ll also hear Cory, our bassist, in the mix, though you won’t see him as he’s quarantined at his place. We didn’t have time to include a drum track from Bobby, our drummer.

love,

Noah
