One Foot In This World

Saying goodbye to mamma and papa.
I’m a grown man feeling like a foster.
Grief is just the heart stretching.
Hurts like hell, but it’s a blessing
Cause we turn to spirit  for what we need,
But first you’re crying for mercy.

And falling to your knees
Falling apart before ya receive

Please let all my trying cease,
Please let all my fighting ease
Accept I exist so helplessly
Bowing with humility

With a deep longing to receive
To drink from the fountains of tranquility

Then there is light coming down,
I hear a high pitched sound,
smiling faces of my ancestors around.

I’m carried away, beyond time and space, my heart is at ease
This is the deep love,This is the deep love, This is the feeling

And I can only survive this grief
And all the loss this world brings,
If I’m allowed to keeeeeep
one foot in this world, one foot in the other.

No, I can’t do this life alone
I’ve got a child’s heart, though I’m full grown

So I’m trusting you will take me home.

the vibe is rising, spirit reviving, My heart is at ease
This is the deep love, This is the deep love,This is the feeling

And I can only survive this grief
And all the loss this world brings,
If I’m allowed to keep
one foot in this world, one foot in the other.
